After thousands of congressional meetings held in our basic structures, 103 local and 16 regional conferences, the Association is poised to celebrate the fifteenth national congress to be held in Chianciano Terme (Siena) April 15 to 18.
"Reacting to the lack of confidence in times of crisis" was the title chosen for this event, which takes place in a period fraught with difficulty and uncertainty, marked by a deep cultural crisis, economic, social and environmental investing our country and the entire planet.
We want to continue to represent an alternative to the solitude, challenge, social disintegration, supporting disadvantaged citizens, preventing discomfort, opposing exclusion and discrimination in all its forms, experimenting with practices inspired by a different model of development, environmentally and socially sustainable.
The emergency environment and climate are in fact emblematic of the depth of the crisis and call for immediate answers. In recent years we have participated in many disputes in order to preserve local open already uneven areas from further destruction of large unnecessary works, from the energy mix or recycling of hazardous wastes and pollutants, for the defense of common goods. So we decided to promote, together with the Forum of movements for water and a vast array of organizations and local authorities, the referendum for ripubblicizzatone water, which will be formalized with the filing of the questions to the Supreme Court on 31 March.
And from this wealth of practical experience, which we see daily on the side of those, young or old, Italian or foreign, must deal every day with a present fraught with difficulties, we will look at this Congress to thoroughly analyze the transformations across the country to update our progetto e il nostro modello associativo.
